They’re all written by women and most of the poets are from Oklahoma. Some are from the surrounding areas. They also showcase the younger poets including high school students and recent graduates from Oklahoma.
This magazine’s main goal is to call attention to women as the main victims of rape. More than that its goal is to help these women through the healing process after surviving such a traumatic event. Survivor is written and illustrated in a way that gives power back to survivors and reminds them it’s not their fault. This magazine is largely a collection of poems and illustrations that cover themes of rape, child molestation, power, control, and survival. The ending of this issue lists biographies of all contributors that are throughout this source. Another important theme throughout this text is that of victim blaming.
Encodings is a journal published by a feminist press that contains poetry and visual art created by women. Encodings is based out of Houston, Texas and published by Liaud randomly twice every year. The poems within this journal common address issues relating to feminism.

The women's music movement was primarily composed of lesbian feminists interested in art and activism. This edition discusses artists Margie Adam, Kate Clinton, Cris Williamson, Teresa Trull, and others.
The main goal of this zine is to showcase different female artists or bands. They do this by either promoting their recent releases, or by conducting interviews with them. A majority of the zine consists of these interviews. There is also a miscellaneous selection of articles and essays. Some are guides like how to break up with a guy or how to live cheaper in NYC. There’s essays on women’s images in the media and they promote other zines and the artists who create them.
