day, April 28th (the weekend of the March
on Austin for Lesbian/Gay Equal Rights).
Most of you were very understanding, and
we appreciate that. We extend many apolo
gies to all who came and had to wait and
wait for the concert to begin, and especially
to those who had left work early to travel to
Austin in time for the concert, but then
couldn't stick around long enough to actu
ally hear the performance. Unfortunately,it
was impossible for us to allow people into
the ballroom during the waiting period
because it would have prevented the per
formers and sound technicians from hear
ing the sound check.
The delay that night was due to the inept
sound company we had contracted for that
concert. They had old equipment in bad

simply stared into space. The area was
hushed; none of ihe parents communicated
each wore. They would be given the test
