How to use this site

The Herland Archive's digital collection site has multiple pages that provide different avenues of exploration and education.

  • On the Explore page, users can find an unstructured gallery of all digitized items from the Herland Archive's collection. Using the advanced search feature on that page allows users to query metadata and use keywords to search for specific items. 
  • The Faceted Browse page provides a structured table of items that can be filtered by decade or theme. 
  • On the Browse Titles page, users can navigate through different item sets based on specific titles and themed sets. Clicking on one of these sets will take the user to a gallery of all items in that set. 
  • The Exhibits page hosts multiple different student-created digital exhibits utilizing items from the collection. Users can browse the exhibits they want to learn more about. 
  • The About page provides additional information about the Herland Archive and this digital site.
