The last
few cool and
rainy days
serve to remind us that
summer has
faded and autumn is ushered in on cool
winds and foggy mornings. Soon the holdays will be upon us again. Harvest time,
Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, H:lnukkah, New Year's Day. Then there will
be Easter with its lilies and bulbs bursting
forth with promises of more gentle days to
come.
Autumn is a time of change, possibly
second only to spring as the most arimated change the Earth undertakes in its
cycle of seasons.
New Tulsa
In his book A Harvest of Reflections,
Justin Matott says, " It has been said that
in ancient times it was believed that the
time of harvest was when the veil between
the two worlds, corporeal and ethereal
was the most thin, allowing for all kinds of
mystical occurrences on earth .." Autumn
seems to herald a transformation of life ...
for the Earth and for our lives as well.
.May this changing season of cool,
foggy days and trees ablaze with vibrant
color invite us to change the pace of our
daily routine, to take a look around and be
aware of the transforming power at work
right in front of us so we don't miss the
mystical power of the Universe to heal and
refresh.
